Life is Like A Box Of…Treats For Your Pup

You deserve a little YOU time this weekend. Here’s how to get it and make sure your 🐶 is having a good time as well!

Step 1:

Take a cardboard box and fill it with crumpled newspaper. Be careful to choose a box size that is compatible with your dog (think shoebox for an older dog who can’t clamor as much and a larger box for a younger dog).

Step 2:

Toss in some treats! To make the game more challenging, you can tightly wrap the treats in newspaper or waxed paper, like a piece of candy; just make sure your doggo isn’t eating the paper. You can also put the treats in empty cereal or cracker boxes.

Step 3:

Let your doggo go to work! Make sure to always supervise so you ensure your dog is safe and not consuming the box/paper as they play.

Note:

This game may require a bit of clean up on your part after your pup has found all the treats (paper, torn up boxes, etc). 🤦🏽‍♀️ But the amount of mental stimulation and fun your dog will have will make it all worth it. Plus, the nap they’ll need shortly after will give you some “me” time. Hello Netflix!
